Fuel treatment of biomass residues in the supply chain for thermal conversion

Inter-task Project

Fuel pretreatment of biomass residues in the supply chain for thermal conversion

Over the last decade, a number of innovative pretreatment technologies have been developed. These could in some cases have a singificant impact on the economics of biomass supply chains, resulting in either reduced supply costs, better . An intertask project was therefore developed with tasks 32, 33, 34, 36, 40 and 43 with the aim to demonstrate how existing bioenergy chains can be made more fuel flexible, efficient and cost effective through the application of (a combination of) pretreatment technologies.

The following activities were planned in this project
